Resumen de Traduire la langue de l’Autre: La traduction comme rapport éthique linguistico-culturel je-autre

  Al abordar la problemática central de la traducción, es decir, la gestión de la relación entre «identidad» y «alteridad», este artículo pretende demostrar que, lejos de quedar reducido a un transport, el hecho de traducir debe entenderse como un acto ético que establece una relación lingüístico-cultural yo – otro. Por este motivo el artículo se propone analizar la traducción como una ocasión fundamental de encuentro y de intercambio con el otro y, lo que es más, con uno mismo pues, siendo plurilogismo, el plurilingüismo es consubstancial a la langue de l’esprit. Como por otro lado señaló Benveniste: «avant de servir à communiquer une langue sert à vivre», pues es un modo de comprender el mundo y de decirlo. En esta línea, la conclusión se centra en el Mediterráneo como un espacio privilegiado que pone de manifiesto el papel fundamental que la lengua-cultura del Otro desempeña en la construcción —a lo largo de los los ejes diacrónico y sincrónico— de la identidad yo-él.

  By analysing the central problem of translation, namely the management of the relationship between “identity” and “otherness”, this article aims to show that, far from having to be reduced to a transport, the act of translating must be considered an ethical act establishing a linguistic and cultural dialogical relationship between identity and otherness. Therefore, this article proposes the consideration of translation as a fundamental opportunity to foster the encounter with others and also with oneself. In fact, being plurilogical, plurilingualism and the language of mind are consubstantial. Indeed, as Benveniste said, “before serving to communicate a language serves to live”, as it is a way of seeing and understanding the world. From this perspective, the final paragraph considers the Mediterranean a privileged space for revealing the fundamental role played by the language and the culture of the Other in the construction, along the diachronic and synchronic axis, of one’s own identity.
