This article discusses one aspect of the relationship between families and the colonial administration, the strategy of obtaining 'positions and crafts' in return for favors incorporating them into patrimonialglobal. In the course of arranging marriages among which figured the composition of dowries for competitors to marriage, became a appropriating 'crafts' to all the possessions of certain families, witnessed the requests of several generations of women who applied for themselves or their daughters and sons. We investigate both the character of the applications on the justification of the acceptance of this practice by the Crown in a context in which the new political emergencies of six hundred to seven hundred in Atlantic empires interfered in the equityof households and their capacity to engage with the Crown on the achievement of rights and privileges obtained in other times

Este artigo discute um aspecto da estreita relação entre as famílias e a administraçãocolonial,a estratégia de obtenção de ‘cargos e ofícios’ em retribuição aos favores prestados incorporando-os ao universo patrimonial. No percurso dos arranjos matrimoniais entre os quais figuravaacomposição de dotes para as concorrentes ao matrimônio, tornou-se uma práxis a incoporação de ‘ofícios’ ao conjunto das posses de determinadas famílias, testemunhada nas solicitaçõesde diversas gerações de mulheres que a requereram para si ou para suas filhas e filhos. Investigamos tanto o caráter dos pedidos quanto as justificativas da aceitação desta prática por parte da Coroa em um contexto no qual as novas emergências políticas do seiscentos para o setecentos nos impérios atlânticos interferiram no patrimônio das famílias e na sua capacidade de dialogar com a Coroa sobre a conquista de direitos e privilégios conseguidos em outros tempos
