  Rafael Salazar Alonso, Ministro de la Gobernación por el Partido Republicano Radical de Lerroux, impulsará la destitución gubernamental de ayuntamientos democráticos de izquierda desde marzo de 1934 hasta poco antes de la huelga general revolucionaria de octubre. Durante su mandato se producirán también nombramientos en su lugar de gestoras afines al Gobierno, siendo un hito importante los efectuados tras la huelga campesina de junio. Esta comunicación pretende analizar tales políticas, arrojando así nueva luz para la valoración histórica del bienio derechista de la República.
