Este trabajo está dedicado al contrabando de estudio en Portugal durante el período de la Primera Guerra Mundial y la posguerra. En la primera parte, comienza abordando el concepto de contrabando y colocarlo en el debate historiográfico. Se buscará la segunda parte de la comunicación para entender el impacto del contrabando en el contexto local, basado en el fenómeno de análisis en el municipio de Elvas, la actuación de la Guardia Fiscal (fuerza de policía a cargo de contrabando de supresión), los mecanismos y la dinámica la represión y la resistencia entre el poder central y el tráfico local.

This work is dedicated to the study of smuggling in Portugal during the period corresponding to the First World War and post-war. In the first part begins by addressing the concept of contraband and situate it in the historiographic debate. The second part of the communication will seek to understand the impact of smuggling in the local context, starting with the analysis of the phenomenon in the municipality of Elvas, the performance of the Fiscal Guard (police corps responsible for repressing contraband), mechanisms and dynamics of repression and resistance between central, local power and smugglers.
