Ciguatera y Fiebre

    Se presentan 3 pacientes con diagnóstico de Ciguatera que en su evolución presentaron fiebre. Todas eran mujeres en las que la hipertemia apareció en las primeras 96 horas de evolución y cedió con medidas antitérmicas, en ausencias de otras manifestaciones que justificaran su presencia. Se sugiere una posible acción de las toxinas relacionadas con la enfermedad sobre el centro termorregulador del hipotálamo

    The article presents three patients with Ciguatera diagnosis, who presented hyperthermia in their evolution. All of them were women. Within the first 96 hours of evolution the fever occurred, and disappeared with antithermic procedures. There were no other clinic situations that is justified the fever. It is suggested a possible action of the disease related toxins over the thermic regulation center of the hypothalamus.
