Resumen de Segon registre de Nucleolites usoi (Echinoidea) del Barremià de la conca del Maestrat

  En aquest treball es deixa constància del segon enregistrament de l’equínid Nucleolites usoi Forner, 2016 al Barremià de Morella (conca del Maestrat), al peu del tossal del Carraixet. Aquest neognatostòmat es va des-criure al jaciment del Barranc de la Torre Folch (el Forcall, els Ports) i no s’havia trobat en cap altre lloc. La motivació del treball és millorar el coneixement de la fauna de la classe Echinoidea a la conca sedimentaria del Maestrat.S’ha fet un treball de recerca al camp sobre la part alta de la formació Margues i calcàries de les Artoles. S’ha aixecat un columna estratigràfica en la zona on han aparegut N. usoi amb la intenció de datar amb precisió la presència de l’equínid.Els resultats més rellevants del treball han estat documentar el segon enregistrament mundial de l’espècie; constatar que la seua posició estratigràfica, a la part superior de la Fm. les Artoles, és la mateixa de la localitat tipus; i, en tercer lloc, confirmar que ocupava ambients pròxims a un entorn deltaic. Junt a N. usoi s’han recollit alguns exemplars d’un equinoïdeus del gènere Heteraster, d’Orbigny, 1855, que presenten caràcters singulars, que es deixa en nomeclatura oberta a l’espera de trobar més material que permeta el coneixement de tots els caràcters diagnòstics de l’espècie.

  This paper records the second recording of the echinoid Nucleolites usoi Forner, 2016 from the Barremian of Morella (Maestrat basin), at the foot of the Carraixet hill. This neognatostomat was described in the Barranc de la Torre Folch outcrop (el Forcall, els Ports) and had not been found anywhere else. The motivation of the work is to improve the knowledge of the fauna of the Echinoidea class in the sedimentary basin of the Maestrat.Field research has been carried out on the upper part of the marl and limestone of les Artoles formation. A stratigraphic column has been erected in the area where N. usoi has appeared with the intention of accurately dating the presence of the echinoid.The most relevant results are the second world record of the species; ascertain that its stratigraphic position, at the top of the Fm. les Artoles, is the same of the locality type; and thirdly to confirm that it occupied environments close to a deltaic environment. Along with N. usoi some specimens of an echinoid of the genus Heteraster, d’Orbigny, 1855, have been collected, which have singular characters, which are left in open nomenclature waiting to find more material that allows the knowledge of all the diagnostic characters of the species.
