    En sus textos de juventud, san Agustín objeta el escepticismo, que niega la posi-bilidad de conocimiento y de enseñanza; esta negación, que tiene origen lingüísti-co, declara la imposibilidad de relacionar la palabra con la realidad. San Agustín ex-trema el análisis sobre el signo y concluye con su famoso “en ningún caso, entonces, aprende” (nusquam igitur discere). creando uno de los aspectos más originales de su pensamiento: escuchar tiene sentido si pone al receptor en contacto con la ver-dad interior. Esta teoría no niega la rea-lidad del intelecto humano, sino que la supone, en los mismos términos que lo creado se distingue de lo increado

    In his youth texts, Saint Augustine ob-jects to skepticism, which denies the pos-sibility of knowledge and teaching; this negation, which has a linguistic origin, declares the impossibility of relating the word to reality. Saint Augustine deepens the analysis on the sign and concludes with his famous “under no circumstances then learn” (nusquam igitur discere), creat-ing one of the most original aspects of his thought: listening makes sense if it puts the receiver in contact with the inner truth. This theory does not deny the real-ity of the human intellect, but rather sup-poses it, in the same terms that the cre-ated is distinguished from the uncreated.
