Resumen de Forastero, chulla y wajcha: figuras y matrices arguedianas en el testimonio andino

  Me interesa abordar el modo en que la escritura de José María Arguedas, que imbrica formas poéticas y etnográficas, genera algunas figuras que poseen una fuerza simbólica que les permite actuar como matrices en el testimonio andino de la migración y la violencia peruanas. Me refiero a la imagen fundacional del forastero que, chulla y wajcha, solo y huérfano, deambula errante entre diferentes memorias e identificaciones. Para ello, me ocuparé de la forma en que el forastero, indio urbano o migrante andino, aparece en una serie literaria conformada por el capítulo II de Los ríos profundos de Arguedas, Gregorio Condori Mamani. Autobiografía de Valderrama y Escalante, Memorias de un soldado desconocido de Gavilán Sánchez, y “Ángel de Ocongate” de Rivera Martínez. Esta recurrencia me permite trazar la genealogía del testimonio andino contemporáneo con la obra arguediana, antes que el Premio Casa de las Américas, pues en este testimonio se reescriben sus universos narrativos.

  I am interested in inquiring the way José María Arguedas’ writing, which connects the poetic and ethnographic forms, creates certain figures that have a symbolic strength which allow them to act as matrices in the Andean testimony and the Peruvian violence. I am referring to the foundational image of the stranger who, chulla and wicha, -alone and orphan-, wanders among different memories and identifications. I will study in what way the literary series that includes the chapter II of Los ríos profundos by Arguedas, Gregorio Condori Mamani, Autobiografía by Balderrama and Escalante, Memorias de un soldado desconocido by Gavilán Sánches, and “Ángel de Ocongate”, by Rivera Martínez, portrays the stranger, either he/she is an urban indian or an Andean migrant. This recurrence permits me to trace the genealogy of the contemporary Andean testimony before than with the Casa de las Américas price, with the Arguedian work because his narrative universes rewrite in the testimony.
