Resumen de Recepção de Nietzsche no Nordeste Brasileiro

O objetivo deste artigo é procurar fixar que a história da recepção do pensamento nietzschiano no Brasil teve início no Nordeste do país. Para tanto, procuramos demonstrar essa hipótese a partir de uma análise detida de algumas das primeiras produções nas quais Nietzsche aparece, publicadas por autores brasileiros. São produções assinadas pelos nordestinos Tobias Barreto, João Ribeiro, Clóvis Beviláqua e Araripe Júnior. Escritas entre o final do século XIX e início do XX, veremos que nessas produções Nietzsche é recebido ora como objeto de apreciação filosófica, ora como guia de conhecimento para o exercício da crítica e da criação literárias.

The purpose of this article is to try to establish that the history of the reception of Nietzschean thought in Brazil started in the Northeast of the country. Therefore, we try to demonstrate this hypothesis based on a careful analysis of some of the first productions in which Nietzsche appears, published by Brazilian authors. They are productions signed by the Northeastern Tobias Barreto, João Ribeiro, Clóvis Beviláqua and Araripe Júnior. Written between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, we will see that in these productions Nietzsche is received either as an object of philosophical appreciation, or as a guide of knowledge for the exercise of literary criticism and creation.
