Resumen de Nietzsche, um filólogo crítico da filologia

In this article we intend to investigate the philological period, in particular the inaugural class when Nietzsche became a teacher in Basel, Homer and the Classical Philology, 1869, in which the philosopher punctuates the way he sees philology and its challenges: a science that needs art, natural science, history and, above all, philosophy. In addition, we intend to understand the problem of a fidelity to the text required by philology, and the possibility of multiple interpretations. On the one hand, the philological stance makes the text the most important, although the text is already text and not ultimate reality or thing in itself; on the other hand, there must be some criterion with the interpretations.

Pretendemos, neste artigo, investigar o período filológico, em especial a aula inaugural de quando Nietzsche se tornou professor na Basileia, Homero e a filologia clássica, de 1869, em que o filósofo pontua o modo como vê a filologia e seus desafios: uma ciência que precisa da arte, da ciência natural, da história e, sobretudo, da filosofia. Além disso, pretendemos compreender o problema de uma fidelidade ao texto, requerida pela filologia, e a possibilidade de múltiplas interpretações. De um lado, a postura filológica torna o texto o mais importante, embora o texto já seja texto e não realidade última ou coisa em si; de outro lado, há de se ter algum critério com as interpretações.
