Resumen de Construcciones con aunque restrictivo + subjuntivo “polémico”: posibles abordajes en la clase de ELSE

En este artículo retomamos el estudio de las construcciones concesivas con subjuntivo y su relevancia en la enseñanza de ELSE a partir de un nivel umbral, sobretodo frente a la posibilidad de que el subjuntivo (denominado temático o polémico) señale hechos que el hablante concibe como reales: Aunque pasen los años, Ud. no envejece. Defendemos que se presente el subjuntivo con valor factual como herramienta estratégica, de modo que el aprendiz sea sensible a factores como la prosodia y la posición de la prótasis concesiva, fundamentalmente cuando aunque introduce el segundo miembro de la construcción y adquiere un valor restrictivo (con mayor relieve informativo). Un tema en discusión es la alternancia modal en estas estructuras; buscamos corroborar la afirmación de Flamenco (1999, 2011), quien sostiene que el subjuntivo es posible solo cuando hay una pausa entre la subordinada y la principal. Asimismo, nuestra propuesta contempla la importancia de partir de la analogía entre aunque y pero.

In this paper we will deepen our analysis of concessive constructions with subjunctive clauses and their relevance in the teaching of Spanish as a Second and Foreign Language as of the threshold level especially facing the possibility that the subjunctive clause (denominated topical or contentious) might point out events that are perceived as real by the speaker. Aunque pasen los años, Ud. no envejece. We consider it essential to present the subjunctive mode with factual value as a strategic tool, so that the learner is aware of factors such as prosody and the position of the concessive protasis, especially when aunque introduces the second part of the construction and takes a restrictive value (with more relevant information). A matter of debate is the modal alternance between these structures; we will attempt to corroborate the assertion made by Flamenco (1999, 2011), according to whom the subjunctive form is only possible when there is a pause between the subordinate and the main clause. At the same time, our proposal contemplates the importance of taking the analogy between aunque and pero.
