This article discusses the collective management of audiovisual rights arising from Portuguese professional football competitions. The Portuguese legal system has clearly embarked on a trek of ‘publicization’ of football institutions’ activity, thus allowing for Sport Law to be regarded as a specific domain within the framework of Administrative Law. In a scenario where TV rights associated with football competitions tend to be centrally managed, this article tries to ascertain, within the Portuguese legal system, who holds the beneficial title to these rights.
