Mediante el relato del maíz se exploran las posibilidades del lenguaje referencial y metáforico, con la finalidad de llegar a un mejor entendimiento sobre lo único que vincula al nativo y al etnógrafo en ese momento dialógico: la obra. El lector de este artículo también forma parte de este incesante relato. Después de todo, relato proviene del verbo latín relatare, que significa relacionar.
