    This paper aims at examining, through the analysis of speeches from French students and from foreign students, how they categorize and accept (or reject) neologisms in French, which is a way to perceive both ambivalent and typical positions in each group, as well as to bring out specific representations speakers have about this language.

    L’objectif de cet article est d’appréhender la façon dont s’opèrent chez deux populations d’étudiants (français natifs vs. allophones) la catégorisation et l’acceptation ou le rejet de néologismes en français, ce qui permet à la fois d’apprécier une ambivalence de positionnement entre les deux groupes et également de mettre en évidence certaines représentations que les locuteurs se font de cette langue.
