Resumen de Productividad de las máquinas tuneleras tipo TBM vs. tipo de roca

  Las máquinas tuneleras tipo TBM son equipos de minado continuo diseñados para la excavación de túneles circulares hasta más de 15 m de diámetro actualmente. La utilización de estas máquinas en sustitución del método convencional de perforación y voladura, es cada vez más frecuente, inclusive en nuestro país, dado que desde la primera aplicación en el proyecto Carhuaquero (Chiclayo) a inicios de la década de 1980, pasaron casi 18 años para la siguiente aplicación en el proyecto Chimay (1998-1999); luego entre los años 2000-2004 en proyecto hidroeléctrico de Yuncán, se aplicaron 2 TBM (sólo un año después de la aplicación en Chimay) y actualmente en el proyecto trasvase Olmos, se viene aplicando una TBM desde el 2007. Ello demuestra sin duda, que la aplicación de las TBM es prominente en el presente siglo. Este artículo está basado en el estudio realizado en el proyecto hidroeléctrico de Yuncán, a la TBM MK 12 durante casi dos años (desde su montaje hasta su operación). En este proyecto, esta TBM trabajó con un diámetro de 4,10 m, y durante la excavación atravesó distintos tipos de rocas, predominando entre ellas la roca alterada que sumado a la gran afluencia de agua, se tuvo bajos rendimientos de esta TBM, invirtiéndose el mayor tiempo en sostenimiento de la roca, inclusive algunos días sin avance alguno.

  The tunnel boring machines (TBM) are continuous mining equipment designed for the excavation of circular tunnels until more than 15 m of diameter at the moment. The application of these machines in substitution of the conventional drilling and blasting method, is more and more frequent, including in our country, since from the first application in the Carhuaquero project (Chiclayo) at beginnings of the decade of 1980, spent almost 18 years for the following application in the Chimay project (1998-1999); soon between years 2000-2004 in hydroelectric project of Yuncan, they were applied to 2 TBM (only a year after the application in Chimay) and at the moment in the project it trasvase Elm trees, comes applying a TBM from the 2007. It demonstrates without a doubt, that the application of the TBMs is prominent in the present century. This article is based on the study made in the hydroelectric project of Yuncan, to TBM MK 12 during almost 2 years (from its assembly to its operation). In this project, this TBM worked with a diameter of 4.10 ms, during the excavation crossed different types of rocks, predominating among them the altered rock that added to the great water affluence, had low yields of this TBM, being reversed the greater time in support of the rock, including some days without advance some.
