  • Resumen
    • When originally published, there was an error in the participants' details (mean age of the participants as well as mean age of acquisition of second language) under the Method section of both Experiment 1 and Experiment 2. These details reported in Table 1 and Table 3 were copied incorrectly in the text.

In Experiment 1, 'Participants' subsection (Pg 4) should be read as, “Sixty students (M = 22.85 years, SD = 3.14) from University of Hyderabad were selected for the study. All the participants were native Malayalam (L1) speakers and had acquired English (L2) as a second language (mean age of acquisition of L2 = 6.08 years, SD = 2.45).” In Experiment 2, 'Participants' subsection (Pg 8) should be read as, “Eighty-eight students (M = 23.38 years, SD = 2.72) from University of Hyderabad were selected for the study (for participant characteristics, see table 3). All the participants were native Malayalam speakers and had acquired English as a second language (mean age of acquisition of L2 = 5.98 years, SD = 2.33).” The values provided in the Tables (Table 1 and Table 3) are accurate and these changes do not impact the results. The authors apologize for these errors.
