    El presente artículo ofrece un acercamiento diferente a la historiografía del arte vasco en los años setenta. Frente a los debates nacionalistas e identitarios elaborados sobre el mismo, nos acercaremos a una realidad que recorre de manera transversal muchas de las prácticas artísticas que tuvieron lugar en ese periodo y que son definitorias de una manera de crear nueva, centrada en una relación con la naturaleza. Se describen varias obras pioneras que enlazaron con el entorno natural desde posturas cercanas al arte conceptual y que superaron las representaciones del paisaje simbólico que en los albores del siglo XX fueron recreadas por el arte vasco.

    This article offers a different approach to the historiography of basque art in the 1970s. In contrast to the nationalist and identity debates elaborated on it, we will approach a reality that runs through many of the artistic practices that took place in that period and that are defining a new way of creating focused on the relationship of them with nature. Several pioneering works are described that linked with the natural environment from positions close to conceptual art and that surpassed the representations of the symbolic landscape that at the dawn of the 20th century were recreated by basque art.
