Un viaje iniciático con Vicenta Cortés y sus fructíferos resultados

    En el texto que sigue a estas breves palabras, intento manifestar lo importante que ha sido Vicenta Cortés Alonso, en mi vida, tanto profesional como personalmente. Estoy segura, que mi carrera profesional como Archivera, durante casi treinta y seis años hubiera sido muy diferente si no la hubiera conocido. Fue una maestra generosa, paciente y tolerante con mis errores. Siempre disponible y abierta a escuchar, a orientar e incluso a imponer. Pero con acierto.

    Personalmente supo contagiarme su amor por Iberoamérica y de su mano realicé un viaje iniciático, al que han seguido algunos más, unas veces compartidos con ella y otras no. Pero su presencia siempre estaba en muchos detalles y vivencias.

    De este viaje nació una idea, que pocos años después, pudo llevarse a cabo gracias a la institución en la que yo trabajaba: el Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas. La idea se materializó en 66 Becas para Archiveros Municipales de cualquier país Iberoamericano, Guinea Ecuatorial o Filipinas.

    Inthe textthat follows this briefswords, I try to manifest the importance of Vicenta Cortés Alonso in my professional lifeas wellas personally. I am sure thatmy almost 36 years of career as archivist had been so different if I had not met her. She was a generous teacher, patient and tolerant with my mistakes, always available and open to listen, to guide me and even to enforce. But with achievement at the same time.

    She knew how to spread her love toIberoamericato me and by her hand I made a first voyage of discovery followed by some others, not always together, but her presence was in many aspects and experiences.

    An idea was born after that first voyage of discoverythat few years later it could be accomplished thanks to the institution where I worked: the city hall of Alcobendas.

    That idea was materialised into 66 scholarships destinated to municipal archivists of any Iberoamerican country, Equatorial Guinea and Philippines.
