  • Resumen
    • In the context of the European Higher Education Area it is clear to consider the University tutoring as a strategic and basic pillar of help and support, which progresses in the course of the years students spend in the centres. Thus, in our faculty, we implemented a Tutorial Action Program (TAP), whose actions are intended to adapt to the needs of students. The main objective of this study is to identify, from the perspective of students, if the tutor´s role varies throughout the four years of stay in the Degree in Primary Education Teaching. From this premise the authors intend to assess what meaning and which direction this change heads for. To do this, we have analysed the information provided by students from 1st to 4th year through surveys carried out between the academic years 2014-2018 (20, 21, 22 and 14 surveys respectively) which are part of the TAP and are filled out by students at different stages of their process of formation. Our results indicate that students judge the role of the tutor in the various functions that they implement, ranging from the support to the initial integration student in an institution that is very different to the original to an orientation and accompaniment that involves curriculum development and professional preparation, to be positive. Specifically, they are especially valued the host-driven actions of first year, (8,8 over 10) and the one of professional guidance of fourth year (8,7 over 10). We conclude that it is important to highlight that students vary the perception of tutorial action from a merely guiding view to a more complex one, which emphasizes aspects of employability. It is also important to stand out that the competences which students request from their tutors are different in the four courses, as well.
