    La siguiente investigación analiza el rol de protección que ha sido asignado históricamente a la mujer. La naturalización del rol de la mujer le atribuye per se el cuidado de la vida familiar, se genera una obligación moral inherente que debe asumir de forma responsable. Este tipo de conocimiento sistematizado desde las ciencias humanas permite reconocer que en el campo educativo predomina la presencia femenina, reproduciéndose costumbres, prácticas y procesos particulares del género, por lo que obtener datos de fuentes secundarias sobre las maestras mujeres, se constituye en un punto de partida para comprender la feminización en las Escuelas Normales en Chile. Es preciso no olvidar que la mujer ocupa de manera predominante roles vinculados con el hogar doméstico, lo que se consolida con la idea arraigada que la madre es la primera maestra de sus hijos. Esta ideación se traslada a la escuela y se confunden maestras y madres en un solo rol.

    The following research analyzes the protective role that has been historically assigned to women. The naturalization of the role of women attributes the care of family life per se, an inherent moral obligation is generated that must be assumed responsibly. This type of knowledge systematized from the human sciences allows us to recognize that in the educational field the female presence predominates, reproducing customs, practices and particular processes of the gender, so obtaining data from secondary sources on female teachers constitutes a point of departure to understand feminization in Normal Schools in Chile. It should not be forgotten that women predominantly occupy roles related to the domestic household, which is consolidated with the ingrained idea that the mother is the first teacher of her children. This ideation is carried over to the school and teachers and mothers are confused in a single role.
