Wilson’s disease is an autonomic recessive hereditary disease (it must be inherited from the father and mother). It’s a toxic accumulation of copper from the diet. Normally, copper is removed through bile but people with this disease release copper directly into the bloodstream, where it most often accumulates in the liver and brain, which can lead to liver, neurological or psychiatric diseases.
