The contribution deals with Nov. 125 and 126, the first of which dates to 543 and the second to 546 a.D., both enacted under Junillus’ questorship, who succeeded to Tribonian in this office. The two decrees altogether regulate a few problems connected to civil procedure that still required a legislative intervention, after being already subject of the chancellery and the compilers’ activity at the time of compilation.
