  Existe una lengua musical materna que es producto de una determinada situación histórica, geográfica y cultural. Esta lengua ha sido asimilada desde el nacimiento y forma parte de las convenciones, modos de actuar y de pensar propios de la cultura del grupo social en que hemos crecido (Francés, 1972). El aficionado, no músico, adquiere de forma inconsciente hábitos tonales en su acto de audición, dado que casi toda la música que oye está construida tonalmente.

  There is a maternal musical language that is the product of a certain historical, geographical and cultural situation. This language has been assimilated since birth and is part of the conventions, ways of acting and thinking proper to the culture of the social group in which we have grown (French, 1972). The amateur, not musician, unconsciously acquires tonal habits in his act of hearing, since almost all the music that hears is constructed tonally.
