Resumen de «Íntegra fidelitat a Sa Majestat». La ciutat de Barcelona davant l’esclat de la Germania valenciana

  Mitjançant l’estudi de la correspondència tramesa pel govern de Barcelona entre el 1520 i el 1522, confrontada amb algunes altres fonts epistolars, el present article analitza la situació sociopolítica de la ciutat durant l’esclat de la Germania valenciana i el comportament, el discurs i les accions dutes a terme pels dirigents de la capital de Catalunya en aquest context. S’hi observa una ràpida actuació per atallar tota mena de tumults, en col·laboració amb els caps dels gremis i en constant connexió amb les autoritats reials, per tal d’acomplir un objectiu: el de mantenir la ciutat fidel a la Corona.

  Through the study of the correspondence sent by the government of Barcelona between 1520 and 1522, confronted with other epistolary sources, this article analyses the socio-political situation of the city during the outbreak of the rebellion of the Valencian Brotherhood and the behaviour, the speech and the actions carried out by the rulers of the capital of Catalonia in this context. It is observed a rapid action to stop all sorts of riots, in collaboration with the leaders of the guilds and in constant connection with the royal authorities, in order to achieve a goal: to keep the city faithful to the Crown.
