Resumen de Aplicación de fitoterapia en el control de hipertensión arterial. Cuba Nueva. 2014-2016

  Introducción: la hipertensión arterial es de las condiciones más comunes que afectan la salud de las personas y las poblaciones de todas partes del mundo y por tanto una de las de mayor demanda económica para el individuo, la familia y el país. Objetivo: evaluar el control de hipertensos con fitoterapia en Cuba Nueva, en el período 2014-2016. Métodos: se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, longitudinal y prospectivo. El universo estuvo conformado por los 89 pacientes diagnosticados con hipertensión arterial. A cada paciente se le realizó examen físico con la toma de cifras de tensión arterial sistólica y diastólica.

  Resultados: durante el estudio las cifras de tensión arterial del 95,1% de las mujeres fueron controladas, lo que evidencia mejores resultados en este sexo. El 87,6% de los hipertensos tuvo evolución favorable durante la investigación. Resultaron rebeldes al tratamiento dos pacientes del sexo masculino y raza negra para un 2,2% de ineficacia del mismo. Conclusiones: se evaluó como favorable el control de pacientes hipertensos con fitoterapia ya que evolutivamente se obtuvieron resultados satisfactorios y no se presentaron complicaciones. Los pacientes se beneficiaron económicamente por la disminución en los gastos por concepto de medicamentos.

  Introduction: arterial hypertension is one of the most common conditions that affect the health of people and populations in all parts of the world and therefore one of those with the greatest economic demand for the individual, the family and the country. Objective: to evaluate the control of hypertensive patients with herbal medicine in Cuba Nueva, in the period 2014-2016. Methods: an observational, descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was carried out. The universe was made up of 89 patients diagnosed with arterial hypertension. Each patient underwent a physical examination with the taking of systolic and diastolic blood pressure figures. Results: during the study the blood pressure figures of 95.1% of the women were controlled, which shows better results in this sex. 87.6% of the hypertensive patients had a favorable evolution during the investigation. Two male and black patients were rebellious to the treatment for a 2.2% ineffectiveness of the same. Conclusions: the control of hypertensive patients with herbal medicine was evaluated as favorable since satisfactory results were obtained progressively and there were no complications. Patients benefited financially from lower drug costs.
