Resumen de Reparos de los batanes del Sitio de Ruidera en 1713

El presente trabajo tiene por objeto constatar la existencia y conocer el estado de los batanes ubicados en el Sitio de Ruidera, situado en el extremo este de la actual provincia de Ciudad Real, dentro del Parque Natural de las Lagunas de Ruidera, en el año 1713. La base del mismo son los autos de una comisión ordenada por el juez contador de la Mesa Maestral de Villanueva de los Infantes, consecuencia de haber quedado los batanes inútiles y necesitar reparos. Tras describir brevemente el origen y funcionamiento de un batán, repasamos la industria batanera en Ruidera durante la Edad Moderna y el estado de aquel sitio a comienzos del siglo XVIII. El capítulo principal es el dedicado a los reparos que fue necesario realizar en los batanes de Ruidera en el año 1713.

The purpose of this work is to verify the existance and to know the fulling mills state placed in the Ruidera Site, located in the eastern end of the current Ciudad Real province, in the Ruidera Lagoons Natural Park, in 1713. The base work consists of comission judicial decrees asked by the accountant judge of the Mesa Maestral from Villanueva de los Infantes, as a consequence of the filing mills having became useless and needing to be fixed. After briefly describing the origin and functioning of a fulling mill, we are going to look at the fulling mill industry in Ruidera during the Modern Age and the state of that site in the 13th century beginning. The main chapter is the one dedicated to the repairs which had to be done to the Ruidera fulling mills in 1713.
