    Nietzsche identificó la filosofía como arte de la transfiguración en la edición de La gaya ciencia de 1887. Esta expresión tiene un fuerte vínculo con la última obra de Rafael Sanzio, La trasfigurazione (1520), comentada en El nacimiento de la tragedia, en donde el arte es considerado como transfigurador. Tanto la filosofía como el arte se relacionan con el acto de transfigurar y ambas deben ponerse en relación con la vida; la cual ha de ser transfigurada por el amor.

    Nietzsche identifies philosophy as an art of transfiguration in the 1887 edition of The Gay Science. There is a strong linkage between this expression and the last work of Rafael Sanzio, La trasfigurazione (1520), commented in The Birth of Tragedy, where art is considered as transfigurative. Philosophy and art are related to the act of transfiguration and both must be put in relation to life; which has to be transfigured by love.
