Resumen de La lucha contra el terrorismo en Argentina: a propósito de la causa por el atentado a la AMIA y conexas

El terrorismo constituye un flagelo que acapara la atención mundial, y se ha convertido en una de las grandes amenazas en este siglo XXI. Dadas las características que presenta el terrorismo internacional, y los compromisos y obligaciones asumidos por los diversos países a través de la firma de acuerdos al respecto, a ninguno de ellos les resulta ajeno este problema. Argentina ha sufrido, por ejemplo, dos atentados de tamaña importancia como han sido el ataque terrorista a la embajada de Israel y a la AMIA en la década del 90, aún impunes.
Por ello, partiendo de la notoria importancia que posee este tema tanto en el plano internacional como en Argentina, en el presente trabajo intentaremos centrar el estudio del terrorismo en este país, ciñéndolo a algunas cuestiones relevantes que se derivan de una de las causas por el atentado a la AMIA. Más precisamente, aquella vinculada con la denuncia incoada por el Ex Fiscal Alberto Nisman por intento de encubrimiento de la investigación a los imputados del atentado.

Under the spotlight of global attention, the scourge of terrorism has become one of the 21st century’s greatest threats. The search for solutions is an activity the states must engage in, considering the special characteristics international terrorism has, as well as the commitments and obligations they have acknowledged by the signature of treaties. In the case of Argentina, during the 90s, two major terrorist attacks were suffered by the Israeli Embassy first and then by the AMIA. Both of them still remain unpunished. This paper will address the issue of terrorism in Argentina, given the great importance the wider topic of terrorism has acquired, both at a domestic as well as at a global scale. More specifically, we will focus on some relevant points one of the AMIA cases presents. Therefore, we will deal in particular with the accusation filed by the former Prosecutor Alberto Nisman against the people charged for the attack, in which he stated there had been an attempt to cover up the investigation.
