  La presente investigación indaga sobre los retos que han enfrentado los estudiantes y docentes de la Universidad Politécnica Metropolitana de Hidalgo, México, durante las clases en línea suscitadas por la pandemia del SARS-CoV-2. Del mismo modo, da a conocer las herramientas tecnológicas más utilizadas para poder llevar a cabo las clases en esta modalidad y lograr una comunicación que favorezca los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. El diseño de la investigación fue no experimental, transversal descriptivo, de corte cuantitativo. Los datos obtenidos se recabaron en un solo momento, por medio de una encuesta aplicada, mediante un muestreo no probabilístico, a un total de 343 alumnos y 11 docentes de tres programas educativos. Entre los resultados obtenidos, se identificó que existen alumnos que no cuentan con todos los recursos tecnológicos para seguir la transmisión de clases virtuales. Otros más se han visto en la necesidad de trabajar y estudiar a la par para aportar económicamente en sus hogares. Por último, una cuestión no menor es que los problemas familiares han ido al alza durante esta contingencia sanitaria por la covid-19.

  This research investigates the challenges faced by students and teachers at the Universidad Politécnica Metropolitana of the state of Hidalgo, México, during the online classes raised by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. In the same way, it reveals the most used technological tools to be able to carry out classes in this modality and achieve communication that favors the teaching-learning processes. The research design was non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative. The data obtained were collected in a single moment, through a survey applied, through a non-probability sampling, to a total of 343 students and 11 teachers from three educational programs. Among the results obtained, it was identified that there are students who do not have all the technological resources to follow the transmission of virtual classes. Others have found it necessary to work and study at the same time to contribute economically to their homes. Finally, a no-minor issue is that family problems have been on the rise during this health contingency due to COVID-19.
