Resumen de “Serpiente de arenisca y fuego”: La simbología del sol en la poesía de Segundo Cancino

En la poesía de Segundo Cancino, el sol es una referencia que ha adquirido una rica y variada significación que requiere una lectura detenida capaz de identificar sus formas de simbolización. Este artículo se propone esa tarea al sistematizar aquellas formas en cuatro grandes simbolizaciones: el sol como utopía, la sequía como señal de fin de los tiempos, la precariedad de la naturaleza humana y la relación entre el sol y el sentido del tiempo. Se trata de simbolizaciones por las que se exploran los motivos más representativos de la poesía de este autor: la crisis de la modernidad, el tiempo consumado del hombre y la deshumanización irreversible.

In the poetry of Segundo Cancino, the sun is a reference that has acquired a rich and varied meaning that requires careful reading capable of identifying its forms of symbolization. This article sets out to do this by systematizing those forms into four major symbolizations: the sun as a utopia, drought as a sign of the end of time, the precariousness of human nature and the relationship between the sun and the sense of time. These are symbolizations by which the most representative motifs of this author's poetry are explored: the crisis of modernity, the consummate time of man and irreversible dehumanization.
