Resumen de Migração internacional na Amazônia colombiana: Reflexos da crise humanitária venezuelana

A pesar de la atención mundial destacada por la ciencia, los medios de comunicación y los organismos internacionales al fenómeno de la migración internacional, este tema ha atraído muy poca atención en la Amazonia. Con el objetivo de contribuir al debate, se analizanlos microdatos del censo de población y vivienda colombiano de 2018 para identificar la migración internacional en la Amazonia colombiana y buscar posibles vínculos con la crisis humanitaria venezolana. Específicamente, se trata de caracterizar a los migrantes venezolanos en términos de volumen, años de llegada, distribución en la Amazonia colombiana y estructura de edad, en relación con otros migrantes de la región, especialmente los nacidos en otros países amazónicos, con el fin de identificar posibles relaciones entre la crisis venezolana y su salida del país, concluyéndose que la migración venezolana a la Amazonia colombiana es de hecho impulsada por la crisis venezolana.

Despite the worldwide attention highlighted by science, the media and international organizations to the phenomenon of international migration, this theme has attracted very little attention in the Amazon. Seeking to contribute to the debate, microdata from the 2018 Colombian population and housing census is analyzed in order to identify the international migration in the Colombian Amazon and look for possible links with the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis. Specifically, it intends to characterize Venezuelan migrants in terms of stock, years of arrival, distribution in the Colombian Amazon and age structure, in relation to other migrants in the region, especially those born in other Amazonian countries, in order to identify possible relationships between the Venezuelan crisis and its departure from the country, concluding that Venezuelan migration to the Colombian Amazon is in fact driven by the Venezuelan crisis.
