Resumen
This article intends to classify the effect of the different educational programmes abroad of the Spanish Ministry of Education (MECD) from the perspective of their presence on the internet. We will firstly situate the context in which these actions have taken place to continue with a summarized account of the programmes, structure and countries they are composed of, with special regard to their contribution on the internet. Finally, a short description is shown of the areas in which the work of the MECD professionals abroad has been developed in recent years. As an appendix to this article, a classified directory of the different web pages produced by the above mentioned programmes is offered. It is an itinerary across the different actions and their webs in order to establish in which way they make a stimulating contribution to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language through the internet and how they have become a reference of its teaching all over the world.
