  • Resumen
    • The threaded-sleeve connection (TSC) is a new type of connection proposed for space grid structures in view of simplifying the erection. The bending performance of connections is important in single layer space grid structures. In order to study its bending performance, experiment were carried out considering two load conditions, the pure bending and the bending with shear force. The finite element analysis (FEA) of specimens was performed by means of ANSYS. Through the comparisons on moment-rotation curves and contact status, it is verified that the FEA method provides a reasonable estimation of the practical behavior of TSC. Finally, based on this FEA method, the effect of axial force and shear force on the bending performance was analyzed.
