The inclusion of multimedia contents in educational services has helped to increase the quality of learning processes. This paper presents an innovative educational system where these contents are used in novel ways and not only as mere complements of traditional materials. The idea is to create an online adaptive tutor which uses video as the main element and is able to generate courses adapted to the particular needs of each student by using the experience of the teachers, student feedback and behaviour. Distance learning is improved by extending the presence of the teacher and creating complementary methods of evaluation.
