    A lo largo del siglo XX, en Mxico se establecieron diversos modelos de organizacin, competencias e integracin de la Suprema Corte de Justicia. Cada uno de ellos estuvo determinado por las condiciones polticas prevalecientes, pasando de la idea liberal de Carranza a las formas de dominacin personal de Obregn, a las ideas del impulso revolucionario de Crdenas, a la bsqueda de vas para combatir el rezago de la Corte y, en el pasado reciente, al establecimiento del llamado Tribunal Constitucional. Cda ua de las formas apuntadas tuvo una racionalidad especfica que busc presentarse como teora constitucional, y todo cambio provoc, adems de las transformaciones normativas evidentes, nuevas formas de entendimiento de la funcin judicial.

    Through out the twentieth century, different forms of organization, integration and faculties were established for the Supreme Court in Mxico. Each one of them was determined by the ongoing political conditions, from the liberal ideas of Carranza to Obregn's personal forms of domination, to Crdenas' ideas within his revolutionary impulse, to the search of ways to fight the backwardness of the Court, and in the recent past, to the establishment of the so called Constitutional Tribunal. Each of the forms mentioned above had a specific rationality that sought to be presented as constitutional thaory, and every change provoked, besides the evident normative transformations, new kinds of understanding of the judicial function.
