La investigación patrimonial, tradicionalmente, se ha ocupado de identificar y sistematizarel acervo cultural. En este texto se propone una reconsideración de esta tarea, a la luzde una revisión de las implicaciones culturales, sociales y políticas que acompañan a la nociónde patrimonio, una renovación metodológica que tenga su punto de arranque en una miradasituada y recelosa de los mecanismos de poder que operan en la configuración del patrimonio yuna propuesta que deje espacio a la agencia de los usuarios del patrimonio en detrimento de lamera afiliación a la herencia, a tomar el mundo más como algo a construir que algo a descubrir.

The research on heritage traditionally has been concerned to identify and systematizethe cultural wealth. In this paper we want to propose a reconsideration of this task,encouraging a critical review of the cultural, social and political implications that accompanythe notion of heritage. We propose, as well, a methodological renewal of the research andeducational experiences that could have its starting point in a situated and suspicious lookingon the mechanisms of power that operate in shaping the heritage. Finally we want topresent an educational proposal that leaves more space to the agency of the users of heritageat the expense of the mere membershiping to inheritance, an approach that take theworld as something to build more than something to discover.
