El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de contribuir al art ́ıculo “Justicia social y los sistemas econ ́omicos: sobreRawls, socialismo democr ́atico y alternativas al capitalismo”, de Martin O’Neill, mostrando la relevancia delingreso b ́asico y el enfoque de g ́enero para pensar las instituciones necesarias para una sociedad democr ́aticajusta en la pr ́actica. Para ello se propone examinar y vincular las propuestas del autor con la literatura sobreel ingreso b ́asico y el g ́enero, dando cuenta que la propuesta de alguna forma de socialismo democr ́atico liberalde O’Neill, basada en postulados normativos rawlsianos ampliamente compartidos, podr ́ıan enriquecerse sise tienen en cuenta tales aportes
This commentary responds Martin O’Neill’s article “Social Justice and Economic Systems: on Rawls, Demo-cratic Socialism and Alternatives to Capitalism”, demonstrating the relevance of basic income and a genderapproach when thinking about the necessary institutions for a just democratic society. Therefore, the paperlinks the O’Neill’s proposals with the literature on basic income and gender arguing that a form of liberaldemocratic socialism based on widely shared Rawlsian normative foundations, could be enriched by takingsuch contributions into account
