El cáncer de pulmón es uno de los cánceres más comunes en el mundo. Consiste en la formación de células malignas (cancerosas) en los tejidos del pulmón. Cursa con tos, dolor constante en el pecho, falta de aire, inflamación de cuello y cara y fatiga entre otros.
Cuando esta y otras enfermedades degeneran hasta el extremo y no tienen tratamiento curativo posible, nos encontramos con el tratamiento paliativo. En este documento se ve el proceso de atención de enfermería en un paciente paliativo con cáncer de pulmón, remarcando las necesidades básicas de Virginia Henderson que tiene alteradas o no alteradas, los diagnósticos enfermeros que se observan en el primer contacto, los NOC que tiene a su llegada en la escala de likert y cuáles se quieren conseguir y los NIC que vamos a realizar para conseguir o acercarnos al máximo a los objetivos que tenemos fijados.

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. It consists of the formation of malignant (cancer) cells in the tissues of the lung. It causes constant pain in the chest, shortness of breath, neck and face swelling and fatigue among others.
When this and other diseases degenerate to the extreme and have no possible curative treatment, we find palliative treatment. this document looks at the nursing care process in a palliative patient with lung cancer, highlighting the basic needs of Virginia Henderson who has altered or not altered, the nursing diagnoses that are observed in the first contact, the NOCs that they have on arrival on the likert scale and which ones they want to achieve and the NICs that we are going to carry out to achieve or get as possible to the objectives we have fixed.
