    This article tries to understand sociali-ties and identities built within the urban space of Villa Boa de Goyaz, capital city of the state of Goiás in 1726-1937. It aims at developing a history captured through sensitivity, brought to light by the sounds that were created, heard, or imagined there. We propose to transform sounds from different sources, mainly literary, in a power that enables the emergence of a narrative based on sounds considered as identity resonances. It is a non-linear flow of events that interconnects myths of origin, memories, and vestiges of the past dating back to the 18th century and going onward into the 19th and 20th centuries.

    Este artigo procura entender socialida-des e identidades construídas no espa-ço urbano de Villa Boa de goyaz, capi-tal goiana de 1726 até 1937. Buscou-se elaborar uma história apreendida pela via das sensibilidades reveladas pelos sons que ali se fizeram, ouviram ou imaginaram. a proposta consiste em transformar as sonoridades emergi-das de diferentes suportes, sobretudo o literário, em potência capaz de viabilizar uma narrativa fundada em sons tomados como ressonâncias de identidades. Um fluxo não linear de eventos que articula mitos de origem, memórias e vestígios do passado que remontam ao século XViii e avançam para os séculos XiX e XX.
