Resumen de La novela árabe, la literatura universal y el “gran contexto” de Milan Kundera

El objetivo de esta investigación es desarrollar las ideas de M. Kundera, inspirado en Goethe, sobre la literatura mundial en relación con la literatura árabe contemporánea y en particular, en el caso de dos autores ʿAbbās Maḥmūd al-ʻAqqād y Naguib Mahfuz y dos de sus novelas, Sārah e Hijos de nuestro barrio, respectivamente.

The research aims at developing M. Kundera’s ideas on world literature, as they are motivated by Goethe and his notion of Weltliteratur, and at applying them to contemporary Arabic literature. The paper focuses on two instances, ʿAbbās Maḥmūd al-ʻAqqād y Naguib Mahfuz and their novels, Sārah and Children of the Alley, respectively.
