    Este artículo expone, a grandes rasgos, la misión y estructura del sistema educacional de Carabineros de Chile. Tras resaltar su inserción en el sistema nacional de educación superior, describe los pilares que representan su quehacer educativo, representados finalmente en el propósito de “aprender a ser”. Finalmente, se da cuenta de las modalidades de formación, perfeccionamiento y especialización, y de las respectivas escuelas donde éstas se dictan.

    This study unfolds, in broad strokes, the mission and structure of the educational system of the Carabineros de Chile. It points out its involvement in the higher education’s national system, describes the pillars that mantain its educational task, represented finally in the purpose of “learning to be”. It also shows the schools where the students may continue their training and specialization.
