    El presente artículo contiene los más relevantes resultados de la investigación: Estudio de la obra educativa de José Agustín Caballero como iniciadora de la Pedagogía cubana. Esta figura, poco conocida, fue fundadora de los cambios educacionales y pedagógicos en los finales del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX, que estuvieron en función del desarrollo económico de Cuba; por la importancia de su obra educativa y el desconocimiento que de ella existe se realizó la sistematización de su pensamiento pedagógico y su acción educacional a partir de la perspectiva de la ciencia pedagógica actual. De esta forma se revelaron las tendencias, regularidades y principios que aportó José Agustín Caballero al proceso de surgimiento de la Pedagogía Cubana.

    The present article contains the more relevant results of the investigation: Educational Study of José Agustín Caballero's work like pioneer of Cuban Pedagogy. This figure was the founder of educational and pedagogic changes in the endings of the XVIII century and the XIX's beginnings that were related to the economic development of Cuba. For the importance of his educational work and the ignorance that exists of the systematization of his pedagogic thought and his educational action taking into account from his scientific pedagogic present-day perspective. In this way were reveled the tendencies, regularities and principles that offered to the beginning process of the cuban pedagogy
