  Se presentan los resultados de un estudio realizado durante dos años en la zona costera de Galiciadonde se comparó el rendimiento y valor nutricional de una mezcla de raigrás híbrido con trébolesanuales (RH5L) vs. un cultivo monofito de raigrás italiano (RNA), sembrados en otoño y fertilizadoscon 0, 50, 100 y 150 kg ha-1 de nitrógeno (N) procedente de purín de vacuno. El diseño fue enparcelas divididas con el tipo de cultivo como parcela principal y la dosis de N como subparcela, con4 repeticiones. La cosecha se realizó en un corte único para ensilar a mediados de mayo del añosiguiente. En todo el rango de dosis de N el rendimiento de materia seca (MS) y de proteína bruta(PB) de RH5L superó al de RNA con valores medios de 5122 vs. 2289 kg MS ha-1 y de 749 vs. 163 kgPB ha-1 para el tratamiento sin N y de 6170 vs. 4414 kg MS ha-1 y de 819 vs. 275 kg PB ha-1 para elde 150 kg N ha-1, respectivamente. Se concluye acerca del favorable comportamiento de la mezclade tréboles anuales frente al raigrás italiano, en las condiciones de ensayo.

  This work presents the results of a two-year study performed in the coastal zone of Galicia (NWSpain). The yield and nutritive value of a mixture of a hybrid ryegrass and annual clovers (RH5L) wascompared to a monoculture crop of Italian ryegrass (RNA), sown in autumn and fertilized with 0, 50,100 or 150 kg ha-1 of nitrogen (N) from cow slurry. The experiment followed a split-plot design wherethe crop type was the main plot and the dose of N the subplot, with four replications. The cropswere harvested for silage the following spring in a mid-May single-cut. Across all the levels of appliedN, dry matter (DM) and crude protein (PB) yield of RH5L was higher compared with RNA, withaverage values of 5122 vs. 2289 kg MS ha-1 and 749 vs. 163 kg PB ha-1 in the control (without N) andof 6170 vs. 4414 kg MS ha-1 and 819 vs. 275 kg PB ha-1 in the 150 kg N ha-1 treatments, respectively.The annual clovers mixture showed a more favorable performance compared to the pure stand ofItalian ryegrass, as winter crops, in the conditions studied.
