  El marquesado de los Vélez y la familia Fajardo alcanzaron su esplendor con la renovación Trastámara y bajo el reinado de los Austrias. Muestra de su gran poder fue la influencia que tuvieron en el Noroeste de Murcia, que quedó reflejada con las relaciones con la baja nobleza y las múltiples construcciones arquitectónicas que nos quedan actualmente. En este artículo recorreremos las principales villas del noroeste regional donde su poder fue más fuerte, pasando por las relaciones con el resto de nobles que estaban asentados en dichas villas y las edificaciones más relevantes.

  The marquisate of Velez and the Fajardo family reached their apex with the Trastámara renovation and under the rule of the Austrias. A sign of their great power was the influence they had in the Northwest of Murcia, which was reflected in their relations with the lower nobility and multiple architectural projects which we can still see today. In this article, we will go over the principal villas of the northeast region where their power was greatest, examining their relations with the nobles established in said villas as well as the most relevant buildings.
