Reinserción de personas privadas de libertad y de ninis a través del fútbol

    El fútbol es mucho más que salarios de estrellas, estadios llenos y espectáculo. El deporte en general, y el fútbol en particular es portador de valores humanistas. El fútbol es capaz de conseguir que personas procedentes de barrios marginales y/o de familias desestructuradas salgan adelante como profesionales del deporte que les apasiona. Prueba de ello es la experiencia narrada por el autor del artículo, gracias a la cual, anualmente, entre 8.000 y 10.000 personas privadas de libertad no sólo han disfrutado de la práctica del fútbol sino que muchas se han profesionalizado. Concretamente, 1.200 profesionales (árbitros o entrenadores) han surgido del ambicioso proyecto que se relata. Una iniciativa que ha sido reconocida por la Unión Europea, por el Ministerio del Interior en España, y se ha completado con un premio literario. Además, ha tenido su continuación como un modelo para conseguir mejorar la empleabilidad de los ninis. España lidera las estadísticas de ninis dentro de la Unión Europea pero, desde 2014, se ha conseguido empleo como entrenadores y árbitros titulados a cerca de 1.500 jóvenes. Así, para ser entrenador o árbitro, estos jóvenes deben seguir una formación de EGB o similar, deben conocer el reglamento de nuestro deporte y aprobar una serie de exámenes. Estos jóvenes realizaron los cursos y aprobaban los exámenes hasta recibir su título en cada centro territorial de la Federación. Así, obtuvieron la certificación del nivel básico, y después para seguir ascendiendo como entrenadores o como árbitros han tenido que seguir las prácticas adecuadas en los clubes o a través del Colegio de Árbitros.

    Football is much more than star salaries, full stadiums and entertainment. Sports in general, and football in particular, are the bearer of humanistic values. Football is capable of helping people from marginalised neighbourhoods and/or dysfunctional families to become professionals of the sport they are passionate about. Proof of this is the experience narrated by the author of the article, thanks to which, annually, between 8.000 and 10.000 people deprived of their liberty have not only enjoyed playing football, but many have also become professionals. Specifically, 1,200 professionals (referees or coaches) have emerged from the ambitious project described. An initiative that has been recognised by the European Union, by the Spanish Interior Ministry, and has been completed with a literary prize. In addition, it has been continued as a model for improving the employability of the NEETs. Spain leads the statistics of NEETs within the European Union, but since 2014, around 1.500 young people have been employed as qualified coaches and referees. Thus, to become a coach or referee, these young people must have a secondary school education or similar, they must know the rules of our sport and pass a series of exams. These young people took the courses and passed the exams until they received their diploma in each regional centre. In this way, they obtained the basic level certification, and then to continue their promotion as coaches or referees, they had to follow the appropriate practices in the clubs or through the college of referees.
