  En este artículo se presenta el tratamiento jurisprudencial que los tribunales norteamericanos han otorgado, por un lado, a las diferentes tendencias surgidas en el ámbito legislativo como respuesta al rechazo por parte de algunos padres a que sus hijos recibieran la enseñanza sobre la teoría de la Evolución y, por otro, a los casos de solicitud de exención de la práctica de ciertos ejercicios de la clase de educación física presentados por los alumnos y sus padres.

  In this paper, we present the legal treatment that the United States courts have granted, on the one hand, to the different trends arising in the legislative field in response to the rejection by some parents that their children received the teaching on the theory of Evolution and, on the other hand, to the cases of application of exemption of the practice of certain exercises of the Physical Education class presented by the students and their parents.
