    Desde que Clausewitz elaborara la idea, los pensadores y analistashan entendido que la naturaleza de la guerra es inmutable. Cada época o cada cultura puede dar un carácter o una forma a su teoría de laguerra, pero su esencia permanece. Sin embargo, en estos momentosel conocido axioma está empezando a ser cuestionado.El replanteamiento de un dogma tan interiorizado se fundamenta enlos cambios tecnológicos que impondrá en la guerra la cuarta revolución industrial. En paralelo, y relacionado también con los avancestécnicos, se ha producido un cambio social profundo que ha dadola vuelta a la forma de percibir, interpretar, estructurar y analizar larealidad.El pensamiento vigente constituye sociedades líquidas y transparentes donde se impone un individualismo autorreferencial que disuelvelos vínculos personales y colectivos. Nadie es otro porque el otro esnadie. Una continua avalancha de datos e información no concedetiempo a la reflexión, la contemplación y la memoria.Enemiga de cualquier narrativa, la posmodernidad pretende destruirtodos los ritos menos uno, el del intercambio de bienes, servicios yactivos. Consumo luego existo. La disolución de los ritos y los mitosy la imposición del presente como único tiempo social convierten alos mejores ángeles de nuestra naturaleza en ridículos fantasmas. Elpostheroísmo se ha impuesto poniendo en cuestión la ética militar.

    Ever since Clausewitz developed the idea, thinkers and analystshave understood that the nature of war is immutable. Each era oreach culture can give a character or a form to its theory of war butits essence remains. However, at this time the well-known axiom isbeginning to be questioned.The rethinking of such an internalized dogma is based on the technological changes that the fourth industrial revolution will imposeon the war. In parallel and also related to technical advances, aprofound social change has taken place that has turned around theway of perceiving, interpreting, structuring and analyzing reality.Current thinking constitutes liquid and transparent societies, wherea self-referential individualism prevails that dissolves personal andcollective ties. Nobody is another because the other is nobody. Acontinuous avalanche of data and information does not allow timefor reflection, contemplation and memory.Enemy of any narrative, postmodernity seeks to destroy all ritesexcept one, that of the exchange of goods, services and assets.Consumption therefore I exist. The dissolution of rites and mythsand the imposition of the present as the only social time turn thebest angels of our nature into ridiculous ghosts. Post-heroism hasbeen imposed by questioning military ethics.
