Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most com-mon cutaneous cancer. This is more common in people with fair skin and areas of chronic sun exposure. BCC is locally invasive, aggressive, and destructive but slow in growing, and there is limi-ted tendency to metastasize. Diagnosis is made by skin biopsy. Depending on the location of the ba-sal cell carcinoma and its histological type, there are several therapeutic alternatives (photodyna-mic therapy, Mohs surgery, radiotherapy or che-motherapy).
