  • Resumen
    • Starting from the theory of glocalisation, the article concentrates on religions and human rights in the context of globalisation. It attempts to construct a sociological framework that explores fruitful interactions between religions and human rights in a global scenario. On the one hand, it analyses religious traditions as glocal religions or cultural hybrids, focusing on their engagement with human rights. On the other hand, it examines the universalisation of human rights as a process of glocalisation, especially focusing on their worldwide spread in the religious fields. In short, adopting a solely theoretical perspective, the article furnishes understanding of the hybridity that arises in the socio-cultural contacts among religions and human rights.
