Resumen de Dinámica de nutrientes en una plantación de " Pinus Radiata D. Don " en Galicia

  En el presente trabajo se ha estudiado parte de la dinámica de nutrientes en una plantación de Pinus radiata localizada en Lugo. En la plantación, de 25 años de edad, se determinó a) la cantidad de biomasa y su distribución en diferentes fracciones (madera, corteza, ramas, ramillas y acículas), b) los contenidos de nutrientes en los horizontes orgánicos y minerales del suelo y c) durante un año, los aportes naturales de nutrientes, a través de la atmósfera y caída de acículas. Los resultados del trabajo mostraron que los contenidos totales de Ca, Mg y P en la biomasa y en el horizonte orgánico del suelo fueron comparables a las reservas existentes en el suelo mineral. La fracción de biomasa compuesta por las hojas, pese a su bajo porcentaje en peso del total de la biomasa, representó una reserva muy importante de N y P. Por el contrario, la madera constituyó la mayor reserva de Ca, Mg y K.

  In this work the dynamics of nutrient elements in a plantation of Pinus radiata from the province of Lugo (Spain) has been studied. In this plantation, 25 years old, were determined the following aspects: a) the amount of tree biomass and its distribution in different fractions (wood, bark, branches, twigs and needles), b) the nutrient contents in the soil organic and mineral horizons and c), during one year, the natural input of nutrientes through the atmosphere and throughfall. The results showed that the pools of Ca, Mg and P in the biomass ang organic horizon were similar to those current amounts of exchangeable ions in the soil. The fraction of needles, in spite its low percentage of total biomass, made up an important reserve of N and P. On the contrary, the wood represented the main reserve of Ca, Mg and K.
